The best experimental conditions for the determination of aluminum in hair by CAS-CPB micellar solubilization colorimetry are discussed. The maximum absorption wavelength was 630nm, the linear range of aluminum was 0 ~ 4.0μg, the coefficient of variation was CV = 3.2% (n = 6) and the recovery was 98%.
