The post-Holocaust consciousness, either implicitly or explicitly, in ELC’s Dooctoro’s novel aims at highlighting its unique Jewishness. Its evolution to the theme of crucifixion and salvation endows the unique Jewish trait of Jewish “crucifixion and salvation discourse” centered on the Holocaust; its writing on the diasporic and identity motifs shows that the Holocaust establishes a distinct Jewish National identity, at the same time, Jewish language is also an important symbol of Jewish identity. Its elucidation of memory and transcendence shows that Holocaust memory is both Jewish and universal. Therefore, the post-massacre consciousness in Doochoro’s novels embodies both the Jewish trait and the world-wide trait.
