1996年10月10日至11月29日在地磁北纬29.6°附近(L=1.3)的新疆喀什、甘肃安西和北京,沿东西方向建立了地磁脉动观测台链.根据观测数据,研究了低纬Pi2脉动东西方向的传播特性和偏振特性,发现黄昏区以东向传播的右旋偏振为主,2000LT以后逐渐转为以西向传播的左转偏振为主,在2230LT有一个传播方向的突变.整个夜间偏振主轴方向基本以0000LT为界,0000LT前以NE-SW方向为主,0000LT后以NW-SE方向为主.
From October 10 to November 29, 1996, in Kashgar, Xinjiang, Anxi and Gansu, at an angle of 29.6 ° N at latitude north (L = 1.3), a geomagnetic pulsation observation chain was established along the east-west direction. Based on the observed data, the propagation characteristics and polarization characteristics of the pulsating east-west direction of Pi2 at low latitudes are studied. The dominant dextrorotatory polarization propagates eastward in the dusk region and the left-handed polarization propagates westward after 2000LT.
