Renin angiotensin system (renin angiotensin system, RAS) in the regulation of blood pressure and maintain water and electrolyte balance is important. The traditional view is that angiotensin Ⅱ (angiotensin Ⅱ, An g Ⅱ) is an active terminal product of RAS, and its over-activation can cause vasoconstriction, cell proliferation and other harmful effects, it will clinically reduce the level and activity of Ang Ⅱ as The main goal of treatment. In recent years, with the discovery of angiotensin converting enzyme 2 (ACE 2), the traditional concept of RAS has been challenged. It is currently believed that in addition to ACE-Ang II axis, RAS also exists ACE2-Ang 1-7 axis, both antagonistic functionally, so RAS has a dual effect.
