湖南某铜矿为铜铀共生、品位较高的二类毒性矿山,存在着放射性危害。根据冶金部的要求,为了在短期内将井下氡气及其子体浓度降低到国家规定标准,在武汉钢铁学院、武汉冶金安全技术研究所参加下,该矿成立了工人干部和技术人员三结合的通风小组,从1975年4月至9月,对该矿井下通风和氡气及其子体情况进行了调查研究,制定了近、远期通风方案,并重点对1~#豎井通风系统进行了维修与调整。
