河北張北火炬公社地区馬明亮等七位阿洪,向党交心后,解放了思想,敢想敢干了,并且立志做一个自食其力的光荣的劳动者。他們回家时正遇上社里大搞鋼鉄运动。一回家阿洪們就积极地参加会議,个个表示决心:要在钢鉄战綫上打响劳动的第一砲。可是,他們連鉄矿石是什么样都没有见过,钢鉄是怎样炼成的更是一窍不通。最后他們想:使我国钢鉄产量赶上和超过英国,这是我們六亿人民的任务。于是他們下定决心边学边干。經过25天的苦战。
