Methods A random sample of 800 undergraduate students was taken using the self-esteem scale (SES), the stereotype questionnaire, and the perception of prejudice Scale. Results There was a difference in the level of self-esteem of college students by household registration (F=3.43, P<0.05). The analysis of stereotypes of three dimensions of migrant workers among college students of different household registration (F=3.85, P<0.05; F=3.08, P<0.05; F=4.28, P<0.05). The analysis of positive attitudes (F=10.75, P<0.01) and negative attitudes (F=2.243, P=0.107) of college students of different household registration towards migrant workers\'\' prejudices. Conclusion There were significant differences in college students\'\' self-esteem in terms of household registration. Stereotypes of college students on all three dimensions of migrant workers differed significantly on household registration, and prejudices of college students on migrant workers differed significantly on household registration. There is a high correlation between college students\'\' self-esteem level, stereotypes of migrant workers and prejudice against migrant workers. The level of self-esteem, stereotypes about migrant workers in three dimensions of college students whose household registration is rural have a significant effect on prejudice against migrant workers, and show a strong linear correlation. College students whose household registration is urban have a significant effect on their self-esteem level and moral stereotypes about migrant workers on their prejudice against migrant workers, and show a strong linear correlation. College students whose household registration is in towns or counties have a significant effect of self-esteem level and moral stereotypes about migrant workers on prejudice against migrant workers, and show a strong linear correlation.
