Some people say I am a “gatekeeper”, while others say I am a “little old man.” Actually, I am a watchman on the unit. As I was in charge of fire prevention work, I added myself to the extra large number of “extra firefighters” and considered myself as a plus. My predecessor is a lovely old man. When I assigned him, he had just retired, so it was natural for the unit leader to let me take over his burden, and set out a house in the corner of the warehouse where I could live. In order to cultivate my successor, the old man postponed for a month laid off. From him I learned a lot of fire safety knowledge, but also learned to repair the fire pump. After the old man left, I started a nearly mechanical and boring job. My object of responsibility is a warehouse area consisting of 10 large warehouses of three units. Every morning I have to clear the rubbish from the storage area, especially the leaves and weeds to get rid of the fire hazard. Then go to see if the fire pit is filled with water or fire pump
