明筮赞初稿(淳熙十三年,1186年)揲蓍之法,四十九茎。合而为一,以意取平。分置两手,左取一蓍。挂小指间,四数所持。最末之余,或四或奇。归于挂间,右亦如之。两手所余,通卦之算。不五则九,是谓一变。挂余之外,复合为一。中分不挂,四数如式。余扐左手,无名指间。不四则八,再变成焉。三亦如之,扐之中指。三变既备,数斯可纪。数之可纪,其辨伊何?四五为少,八九为多。三少为九,是曰老阳;三多为六,老阴是当。一少两多,少阳之七;孰八少阴,少两多一。既得初爻,复合前蓍。四十有九,如前之为。三变一爻,通十八变。六爻发挥,卦斯可见。老极而变,少守其常。六爻既守,彖辞是当。变观其爻,两至首尾。变及三爻,占两卦体。
