Introduction The second edition of the Complete Works of Marx and Engels (MEGA) I want to talk about today has a history of 85 years from 1883 to 1968. The second edition of MEGA did not come out of thin air and had various editorial plans before it. I’ve covered these plans in detail in four previous lectures. I want to remind everyone again that Engels had expressed it as early as 1895
