在党的改革开放方针指引下,南京市园林绿化事业有了新的发展。面对园林绿化人才的迫切需要,南京市园林局采取了专业培训和在职培训双管齐下的办法,一方面委托在宁地方高校代培园林专业学生,另一方面鼓励在职职工参加电大、刊大、函大、职大学习。特别是与南京金陵职业大学联合办学,连续五届培养了近140名园林专业的大专人才,他们主要分配在园林规划设计部门、各市、区属公园以及各企业、宾馆饭店等单位,成为园林绿化事业的骨干,不少还走上了领导岗位。
