本文提出一个新型的喇叭设计。这设计所给出的性能在方向图、阻抗和频率特性方面都比通常能得到的性能好得多。为达到这些性能改善而要求的修改只需适当增加尺寸和重量。而且设计和制造的全部费用也不用增加很多。其基本概念除在喇叭口径边缘外部加上曲面段外仍利用普通喇叭。虽然涉及这种新型天线的所有早期研究是利用椭圆柱截面得到的,然而加到喇叭边缘处的可以是任意光滑凸面,使之与喇叭边缘形成光滑表面连接。
This paper presents a new speaker design. The performance given by this design is much better than usually achievable in terms of pattern, impedance and frequency characteristics. The changes required to achieve these performance improvements require only an appropriate increase in size and weight. And the design and manufacture of the full cost do not have to increase a lot. The basic concept is to use an ordinary speaker in addition to the outside of the horn aperture plus the curved section. Although all the earlier studies involving this new type of antenna have been made using elliptical column sections, the addition to the edge of the horn can be of any smooth convexity to form a smooth surface connection with the edge of the horn.
