近几年来,不少人对秦腔的前途担忧,感到比别的剧种落后,甚至存在危机云云。对此,我虽然并不过分悲观,但对秦腔演员的青黄不接,特别是男演员后继乏人,确也不无焦急之感。前年我到山西看了青年演员汇报演出,后来又陆续看到或听到我省各地区青年演员的节目,欣喜之余,更增加了对西安市秦腔演员的忧虑。最近,看了西安市青年戏曲演员汇报演出,特别是其中几台秦腔青年演员的精采表演,给秦腔舞台带来了生气,打破了多年来死气沉沉的局面,令人耳目一新, 真是出乎意料之处. 这次青年会演,我觉得有一个显著的特点,就是生角戏(包括小生、须生)较多,出现了多年不见于秦腔舞台的好戏。如小生戏《打柴劝弟》、《白逼宫》,须生戏《打镇台》、《斩姚期》、《临潼山》、《赶坡》等。这些剧目,大部分集
