Vitrification is a new approach for cryopreser-vation, which could avoid damages due to iceformation and solution effects occurring underconventional methods. The factors and mecha-nisms keeping cell survival were not well un-derstood. Few studies were conducted on theultrastructural examinations about cryoinjuryand cryoprotect during vitrification of plantcells.
