玉石洼铁矿地质条件复杂,矿岩松软破碎很不稳定,地压活动强烈,采矿难度大。 1989年3月份,240米水平分段,1~#、2~#采场突然来压,地压活动强烈,联巷和回采进路的锚喷网支护遭到严重破坏,生产和安全受到很大的威胁,致使两个采场正在采矿的4号、5号进路不能继续进行生产。原因是这两个采场正处在应力集中区。为此,我们对这两个采场受到严重破坏的联巷和4、5、7号回采进路的维修,试用了强度大又具有一定可缩性的U型钢拱形支架。
