Zhang Xuehai’s “We” series of works produced panic triggered by the SARS era, while wars in the Middle East intensified the panic. The people of that period felt extremely fragile, and the reasons for this feeling came from nature on the one hand and from society on the other. The power of nature once again feels its own insignificance and helplessness. The war from society is man-made and avoidable, but it has happened that history can not be changed.
