Objective To investigate the detection rate of irregular antibodies and the distribution of benign and malignant tumors in cancer patients. Methods A total of 14 400 cases of cancer patients underwent ABO blood group irregular antibody assay from January 2014 to December 2014 in Cancer Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University. Compared with the positive rate of blood group irregular antibody and the blood group irregular antibody in patients with malignant tumor, Distribution characteristics of benign and malignant tumors. Results A total of 14 400 patients were tested for irregular blood group antibodies. Among them, 12 220 were benign tumors and 2 180 were malignant tumors. The positive rate of irregular antibodies in malignant tumors was significantly higher than that in benign tumors (P <0.05). The positive rates of irregular antibodies in 12 220 patients with benign tumors were higher than those in men (P <0.05). The positive rates of irregular antibodies in patients with blood transfusion were higher than those without blood transfusions (P <0.05) The positive rate of irregular antibody in patients was higher than that in female without pregnancy (P <0.05). The positive rate of irregular antibody in female patients was higher than that in men (P <0.05). The positive rate of irregular antibodies in transfusion history was higher than those without transfusion (P <0.05) The positive rate of the regular antibody was higher than that of the female without pregnancy (P <0.05). There was no significant difference between the positive rate of the irregular antibody in the patients with chemotherapy and the positive rate of the irregular antibody screening in the patients without chemotherapy (P> 0.05). Conclusions The positive rate of irregular antibody is related to sex, blood transfusion and pregnancy. Malignant tumor patients are more likely to detect irregular antibody positive. At work, it is necessary to pay more attention to it, avoid missing test and ensure blood transfusion safety.
