BACKGROUND: Experimental and clinical studies have confirmed that chitin has the effects of losing weight and reducing blood lipids, but there are certain side effects due to the higher dosage. Objective: To observe the effect of compound chitin on body weight and blood lipid levels in growing rats. Design: Completely randomized grouping experiments. Location and Materials: 80 healthy male Sprague-Dawley (SDF) grade 3 to 4 week-old male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into 4 groups and housed in a constant-temperature animal room with a barrier system at the Sichuan Provincial Institute of Health Management. Laboratory tests were performed in the laboratory of the hospital. . Intervention: Group A was a normal control group, fed basal diet, group B was a high-fat control group, fed high-fat diet, group C was chitosan group, fed chitin diet, group D was compound chitosan group, fed Feed compound chitin. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: After 4 weeks of feeding, the growth and development indicators such as body weight and serum lipids were measured in each group. RESULTS: 1 Body length and tail length: Animals in each group all had different degrees of increase after feeding, especially in group C (17.73±0.99) cm, and were significantly different from group A (16.50±1.03) cm and group B. There was significant difference (16.35±0.74)cm between the two groups (P<0.05). 2Triacylglycerol: B group 犤(1.5680±0.3000) mmol/L犦 was significantly higher than A犤(0.9404±0.2864) mmol/L犦, D犤(0.6665±0.2567) mmol/L犦 and C group犤(0.8629±) 0.3382)mmol/L犦(P<0.05); Group D was the lowest, and there was significant difference between group A and group C (P<0.05). 3HDL-c and HDL-c/triacylglycerol: Group D was significantly increased (0.6367±0.1223) mmol/L and 0.265〗, respectively, compared with Group B (0.4821±0.1058) mmol/L and 0.200%, respectively. The differences between the groups were (0.5213±0.0938) mmol/L and 0.209”.
