Cultivating students’ scientific learning methods is an important issue in the current teaching reform. How can we do this in the classroom? Only when teachers apply teaching methods that meet the learning laws can students gradually learn how to learn in a scientific way. Since October 1984, under the guidance of teacher Yan Chengzhi of the Sichuan Provincial Educational Research Institute and the support of the leaders of our school, a class was selected in the first grade of high school to conduct experiments on five types of teaching methods. The so-called five kinds of teaching methods are demonstration teaching method, concept teaching method, solving teaching method, reasoning teaching method and feedback teaching method. From the actual situation before and after the experiment, these five types of teaching methods are conducive to mobilizing students’ initiative in learning and are conducive to the development of students’ good thinking quality and are conducive to learning.
