中国工程建设焊接协会为促进国内焊接操作水平的提高,以保证悍接工程质量,于1993年11月16～20日在上海宝钢冶金建设公司举行了全国基本建设系统焊工技术比赛。参赛单位有冶金部、电力部、化工部、水利部、铁道部、中国核工业总公司、中国石化总公司、中国石油天然气总公司、中国建筑总公司、中国机械安装总公司、中国有色金属总公司、解放军总后勤部等12个部、总公司。参赛选手均是经各部、总公司层层选拔出来的,原则上每个部限6名选手,实际参赛的共63名选手。到会的还有领队、教练、参赛厂家、参展厂家等近300名代表。出席本次会议的贵宾有中国工程建设焊接协会名誉理事长、原冶金部副部长林华、上海市总工会副主席王跃曦、上海市科协副主席钱雪元、冶金部建筑总院副院长袁公权、宝钢集团指挥部许志斌副指挥长等领导同志。东道主宝钢总经理高天赐以及各部、总公司也派一些领导同志出席了会议。姚萼放理事长代表焊接协会在会上介绍了焊协概况,汇报了近两年来的工作,讲解了举办这次全国性焊工比赛的目的和意义以及评选和奖励优秀选手的原则。
In order to promote the improvement of domestic welding operation and ensure the quality of the project, China Construction Welding Society held a national infrastructure construction welder technology competition at Shanghai Baosteel Metallurgical Construction Company from November 16 to November 20, 1993. Participating units are Ministry of Metallurgical, Ministry of Electric Power, Ministry of Chemical Industry, Ministry of Water Resources, Ministry of Railways, China National Nuclear Corporation, China Petrochemical Corporation, China National Petroleum Corporation, China State Construction Machinery Corporation, China National Machinery Corporation, China National Non-ferrous Metals Corporation Company, PLA General Logistics Department and other 12 ministries, head office. Contestants are selected by various ministries and head office layers, in principle, each section limited to 6 players, the actual participating total of 63 players. There will be leaders, coaches, participating manufacturers, exhibitors and other nearly 300 delegates. VIPs attending the meeting were Honorary Chairman of China Construction Welding Association, Lin Hua, former Vice Minister of Metallurgical Industry, Wang Yuexiu, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Federation of Trade Unions, Qian Xueyuan, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Association of Science and Technology, and Vice President of the General Administration of Construction of the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry Yuan Gongquan, Xu Zhibin, deputy commander of Baosteel Group Command and other leading comrades. Host Tian Baosteel, general manager of Baosteel and ministries and head offices also sent some leaders to attend the meeting. On behalf of the Welding Association, Yao Chi Fang, chairman of the Welding Society, introduced the welding consortium at the conference and reported on the work done in the past two years. It also explained the purpose and significance of holding this national welder competition and the principle of selecting and rewarding outstanding athletes.
