Transthoracic echocardiography found that 2.8% of adults, 25% of patients with cerebral embolism have mitral valve and ring calcification, patients suffering from mitral valve calcification (MAC) can increase the risk factor 1 times. However, the pathophysiological link between MAC and stroke remains uncertain. The authors reported 2 patients with cerebral embolism who had transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) demonstrating the presence of a thrombus mass on the calcified mitral valve. Example 1, female, 74 years old, white, with right hemiparesis and aphasia, Babinski sign positive. Cardiac examination is normal. MRI confirmed left basal ganglia acute ischemic infarction, white matter and cortical infarction in the left MCA distribution. Transcranial Doppler ultrasound scan confirmed severe left ventricular branch of MCV eddy current. Trans-thoracic ultrasound
