The Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Military Region is one of the important anti-Japanese armed forces under the leadership of the Communist Party of China. After the victory of the Pingxingguan Pass in September 1937, the 115th Division of the Eighth Route Army was mainly ordered to go south to help the KMT troops in the southeastern part of the southeastern Qinnan Prefecture and then to the Luliang mountains in the southwest of Shanxi Province.
