深入考察《洛陽搢紳舊聞記》今存及前人著錄的諸版本,以校勘为基础,對諸本的優劣加以比較,對諸本的校語作出追溯,可知整理該書當以《四庫全書》本爲底本,參校《知不足齋叢書》本、明刊本及《說郛》本等。而《知不足齋叢書》本中所存南宋人校語,因多係本事注釋,可加以保留。至於池北草堂校語,如無益於四庫本的文字,則可徑刪無妨;如有益於四庫本,則可於校記中體現。
