There is no uniform definition of the knowledge economy. The more accepted definition comes from the “knowledge-based economy” students reported by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in 1996. The report states that knowledge economy is a knowledge-based economy that is directly dependent on the production, diffusion and application of knowledge and information.
