光导纤维(以下简称光纤维)的芯径一般在2微米(单模)到50~100微米(多模)。要把这样细小的纤维连接起来,并使其连接点损耗低以及确保传输特性不受破坏,一般的连接技术都不能满足要求。光纤维连接形式归纳起来不外乎是两大类:可拆卸连接和不可拆卸连接。一般说来,对光纤维连接点的要求是低损耗、连接强度好、操作简便、效率高。对光缆接头来说还要求互换性好。而其中连接损耗是衡量光纤维连接质量
The optical fiber (hereinafter referred to as optical fiber) core diameter is generally 2 microns (single mode) to 50 to 100 microns (multimode). To connect such a small fiber, and make the connection point of low loss and to ensure the transmission characteristics from damage, the general connection technology can not meet the requirements. Optical fiber connection in the form of nothing more than two categories: detachable and non-removable connection. In general, the requirements of the optical fiber connection point is low loss, good connection strength, easy operation and high efficiency. Cable connector is also required good interchangeability. The connection loss is a measure of optical fiber connection quality
