“朱翁、余生”课文未作注释,而人民教育出版社出版的《高中语文第二册教学参考书》却作了如下补充注释: 朱翁,名书,安徽省宿松人,《南山集》的作序者之一。余生,即《南山集》中《与余生书》的余生。二人当时都因《南山集》案被关押在刑部狱。这很可能是编者一时的想当然,并没有深入考查史料。《南山集》案发于康熙五十年(公元1711),而朱书已先于康熙四十六年(公元1707)逝世。全祖望《鲒埼亭集外编》卷二十二《江浙两大狱记》中也可以找到证明:
