长海县位于辽东半岛东南,黄海北部海面上,南与山东半岛隔海相望,北与大连市、金州区、普兰店市、庄河市毗邻,是一个四面环海的海岛县。由大小112个岛、砣、礁组成,全县所辖海域面积3428.5平方公里,陆域面积(含滩涂)191.8平方公里。县下设4乡3镇,全县总人口85166人。县政府设在大长山岛镇。 由于长海县是由群岛组成,每个乡镇所在的岛屿面积都在20～30平方公里之间,距离大陆较远,岛上地形高差变化很大,自然降水迅速
Changhai County is located in the southeast of the Liaodong Peninsula, on the sea of the northern part of the Yellow Sea, and across the sea from the Shandong Peninsula in the south. It is adjacent to Dalian City, Jinzhou District, Pulandian City, and Zhuanghe City in the north. It is an island county surrounded by the sea. It is composed of 112 islands, cocoons and reefs. The area under the jurisdiction of the county is 3428.5 square kilometers, and the land area (including beaches) is 191.8 square kilometers. The county consists of 4 townships and 3 towns. The county has a total population of 85,166 people. The county government is located in Dachangshandao Town. Since Changhai County is composed of islands, each township has an island area of between 20 and 30 square kilometers. It is far from the mainland. The topography of the island varies greatly, and natural precipitation rapidly changes.
