在思想道德建设中,传统美德的弘扬,在不少领域得到了相当的重视,且已经取得了可喜的成果。然而,这并不意味着我们对弘扬传统美德无需再加以深入的思考。在一些同志看来,传统美德即是儒家道德,因而在实践中存在着把传统美德儒家化的倾向;还有一些人把一些领域存在的道德失范、信仰危机等问题归结为传统美德的丧失,主张社会主义道德必须植根于传统道德,特别是儒家道德。凡此种种,均涉及到我们究竟如何界定传统美德、恰当估价传统美德在当前思想道德建设中的地位与作用的问题。应当说,进行这方面问题的思考,对于发挥传统美德在当前思想道德建设中的应有功能,决不是多余的事。
In ideological and moral construction, the promotion of traditional virtues has gained considerable attention in many fields and gratifying achievements have been made. However, this does not mean that we do not need to think deeply about carrying forward the traditional virtues. All these questions involve how we define the traditional virtue and properly evaluate the status and role of the traditional virtue in the current ideological and moral construction. It should be said that thinking about these issues is by no means unnecessary for giving play to the due functions of the traditional virtues in the current ideological and moral construction.
