This article introduces the microcomputer technology applied to the measurement line, using the power reflection method to measure coaxial cable attenuation. Computer-aided testing (CAT) can increase the measurement speed, measurement accuracy and manual measurement of the same. Attenuation is one of the main parameters characterizing a coaxial cable. It represents the amount of power loss per unit length of an electromagnetic wave propagating along a coaxial cable. The common method of measuring coaxial cable attenuation is the power reflection method. The outstanding advantage of this method is that there is no special requirement on the sample to be tested (including the connectors at both ends of the cable), so that the attenuation caused by reflections and the attenuation caused by the loss of the cable can be distinguished. The amount of attenuation measured can range from a few decibels to decibels. The disadvantage of this method is heavy workload, time-consuming, generally measured at a frequency point of attenuation half a day, so the test system
