[工程地质学]地质学的一个分科.它是调查、研究、解决与兴建各类工程建筑有关的地质问题的科学.其任务是:评价各类工程建筑地基的地质条件;预测在工程建筑作用下地质条件可能出现的变化;选定最佳的建筑场地和为克服不良地质条件所应采取的工程措施,从而为保证建筑工程的合理设计、顺利施工和正常使用提供可靠的地质科学依据.[土质学]又称“工程岩石学”.研究土和岩石的工程地质性质的学科,工程地质学的重要理论基础之一.根据其研究内容又可分为以下各科:(1)普通土质学,研究各种土和岩石的组成成分,组织结构与物理一力学性质,化学特性及其在天然和人为条件(工程活动)下的形成、演变等规律以及土和岩石工程地质分类的学科;(2)区域土质学,研究不同地
