素质一词,在辞海中分为三大类别,即自然素质,心理素质和社会素质。而学生的素质,则涵盖了学习能力、道德品格、专业技能水平。音乐教育则是教会学生学习乐理、视唱练耳、声乐、钢琴和声基础、中外音乐史与音乐欣赏、合唱指挥、歌曲写作、曲式分析、艺术概论、舞台表演、舞蹈、音乐教育导论、音乐教育哲学、教育学、心理学、小学音乐教学研究、现代教育技术等。在当代中国,社会主义精神文明建设已成为国民建设的重要内容,精神文明建设,包括思想道德建设和教育科学文化建设两个方面,因而中国实行的是素质教育,个人素质的优劣已经成为当代大学生走出校门是否能立足于社会的关键。
