为认真学习贯彻江泽民同志“三个代表”重要思想,坚持先进文化的前进方向,繁荣舞蹈艺术,推动民族文化大省建设,由中国文联和云南省人民政府,于4月28日至5月18日,在昆明共同举办“首届中国舞蹈节暨舞蹈艺术博览”(简称舞蹈节)。这个集舞蹈比赛、精品展演、学术论坛、创作教学、西部采风和舞蹈艺术博览于一体的艺术盛会,无论在中国乃至世界舞蹈史上,都具有全方位开拓的意义。
In order to conscientiously study and implement Comrade Jiang Zemin’s important concept of “three represents,” adhere to the direction of advanced culture, prosper the dance art and promote the building of a national culture province, the China Federation of Cultural Affairs and Yunnan Provincial People’s Government, from April 28 to April 5 On January 18, Kunming held the first Chinese Dance Festival and Dance Art Exhibition (Dance Festival for short). This grand gathering of dance competitions, fine exhibitions, academic forums, creative teaching, western folk songs gathering and dance art exposition has an all-encompassing significance both in the history of dance in China and even in the world.
