河流不仅装点着城市风光,还塑造着城市风格,培育着城市文化。1999年9月29日,环绕石家庄市区的全长56．9公里的人工河开闸通水,取名民心河。民心河不仅结束了石家庄市区无河的历史,而且使市区水面积增加近250万平方米,绿地面积增加40万平方米,人均公共绿地面积增加3平方米。无论是总面积还是人均面积,都提升了石家庄市在全国重要城市同项比率的名次,也改善了省会形象。民心河是市委、市政府的决心之作、爱心之作,让市民享受了河流给城市生活带来的种种愉悦。
Rivers not only decorate the city scenery, but also shape the city style, cultivate the city culture. September 29, 1999, around the city of Shijiazhuang, a total length of 56.9 kilometers of artificial river open water, named Minxin River. Minxin River not only ended the history of Shijiazhuang without rivers, but also increased the urban water area by nearly 2.5 million square meters, green area by 400,000 square meters and per capita public green space by 3 square meters. Both the total area and the average per capita area have raised the rankings of Shijiazhuang City in the same item in major cities across the country and also improved the image of the provincial capital.
