进入新世纪,现代图书馆的教育职能正在不断加强,并有了新的内涵。通过现代化教学手段的运用,全面提高大学生的综合素质和创新能力,完善知识结构,培养锻炼自学能力,陶冶情操,尤其是培养学生信息力,为实现科教兴国战略,培养具有科学精神和创新思维习惯的劳动者和专门技术人才。中学数字图书馆应肩负起信息素质教育的重任,为终身学习提供专门服务,积极参与学校教学方法的创新,大力推进教学新技术的应用,并向现代远程教育中心迈进。
