This section illustrates the aforementioned concepts with the continuously developed Helmut field and its stress-depleting JeanMarie gas reservoir prospects using the example of the development of underbalanced drilling (UBD) technology over a long period of time (1994-1999). This article discusses early UBD techniques and shows how integration / system integration can make a major breakthrough in reducing drilling times and drilling costs.
