1994年8月,中共中央印发了《爱国主义教育实施纲要》,并发出通知,要求“各级党委和人民政府要高度重视爱国主义教育的实施工作,依据《纲要》,结合实际,制定具体的实施规划和细则,并采取切实措施,把《纲要》落到实处”。化学工业部认真贯彻落实《纲要》精神,结合部门和行业特点,积极探索行业爱国主义教育的途径和方法,取得了初步效果。
