MIL是美国军用规范(MILITARY STANDARD)。为了提高国产汽车产品质量,中国人民解放军总后勤部车船研究所和长春汽车研究所根据上级指示要求,组织翻释了MIL规范中的车辆标准,并陆续以单行本形式出版发行。这些车辆标准包括:整车、发动机、底盘及车身部件、电器仪表、维修设备等,内容涉及技术要求、试验方法、质量检验以及防护、包装、运输等。
