中国地质大学(武汉)章锦统副教授与笔者在海南省东方县二甲金矿观察描述南碧沟群和抱板舞着层时,于矿区37线Tc37-04探槽头发现一层砾岩.此岩层厚3-5m,风化后呈紫红色.砾石由石英和变质砂岩等组成.砾石大小不等,最大者可达 5cm×3cm(长短轴).磨圆度良好,略呈扁平,具定向排列.胶结物为粉砂质、泥质和钛锰质.岩石经区域变质作用发生片理化.初步确定此变质砾岩层为南碧沟群的底砾岩.
Associate Professor Zhang Jin Tong of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) discovered a layer of conglomerate in the Tc37-04 trenches at line 37 in the mining area when he observed and described the Nanbi Gully and Baobu dances in the Erjia gold mine in Dongfang County, Hainan Province. The rock formations are 3-5m thick and are fuchsia after weathering. The gravel is composed of quartz and metamorphic sandstones, etc. The gravel sizes vary up to 5cm x 3cm (short and long axes). The roundness is good, slightly flattened, The cements are silty, argillaceous, and titaniferous, and the rocks are fragmentized by regional metamorphism.It is preliminarily determined that this metamorphic conglomerate is the base conglomerate of the Nanpiogou Group.
