甘蔗是兰溪市的传统经济作物,2006年全市种植面积534hm2,其中80%以上为果蔗。甘蔗二点螟(Chilo infuscatellus Snellen)是本市春栽甘蔗的主要害虫之一,造成甘蔗枯心,影响甘蔗的品质和外观,严重的造成减产。2005年二点螟为害造成的枯心率为6.4%,螟害节率7.7%,每667m2损失产量约0.35t,2006年枯心率7.1%,螟害节率8.6%,防治差的田块螟害节率高达11%,每667m2损失产量约0.4t。
