In several areas of the northern Indian Ocean, sonar buoyancy techniques were used to measure the mean velocity of sound in the uppermost sediments of the essentially non-petrochemical seafloor. In addition to introducing the latest results of measurements in the central part of the submarine fan in Bangladesh, the central Andaman Sea basin in the Andaman Sea basin, the Nicobar submarine fan and the Sunda trench, this article also adds the previous results and describes the average velocity, instantaneous velocity and acoustic wave Regression curves for one-way travel times, and some new data and regression equations for the four forearc basins between the Mojito-North Sumatra basin and the Sumatra, Java, and Santa trenches. The minimum velocity gradient is found in the sink
