《文化交流英语》教材编写目的明确、内容丰富、编排合理、短文经典,通过对该教材的学习,学生能体味到中西文化的不同,并逐步培养文化比较能力,最终能运用英语介绍中国特有的文化思想和传统文化。该教材在一些方面还需要改进,如应适当减少生词数量,增加小短文的篇幅并附译文,丰富练习内容和练习形式,增加与教材有关的配套资料,从而更好地培养学生的文化能力,为学生搭建一个听说读写译综合能力培养的平台。
