首届上海国际艺术精品展览会2007年10月在上海展览中心举行,展品总价值逾百亿元。其中,毕加索的几幅作品尤为引人注目,仅《沙滩上的男人和女人》一幅布上油画,价值就高达320万欧元。毕加索和他的作品究竟魅力何在?何以每一出场就必然备受关注?道理其实很简单,因为如果没有毕加索,整个现代艺术就不会是现在这个样子,按照展览会主席尼克龙·莫里的说法就是,近百年来的西方艺术,举其重要者,几乎没有一个流派不是肇始于他,或是被他吸收而善加利用的。
The 1st Shanghai International Art Exhibition was held in Shanghai Exhibition Center in October 2007. The total value of the exhibits is over 10 billion yuan. Among them, Picasso’s works are particularly striking, only “on the beach of men and women,” a piece of canvas, the value of up to 3.2 million euros. Why is Picasso and his work fascinating and why every appearance must be closely followed? The truth is very simple, because without Picasso, the whole modern art will not be what it is now.
