中原城市群地处我国中部,区位优势十分明显,有丰富的矿产品,农产品和劳动力资源,经过十几年的发展,中原城市群将努力形成布局优化、结构合理、与周边区域融合发展的开放型城市体系,中原城市群带动战略是中原腾飞的重要推动力。因此,要充分发挥中原城市群九城市各自的比较优势进行产业分工,合理的调整产业结构,建立地区间专业化分工和协作体系,加强各城市发展战略的协调。
