The results of two kinds of a-Si: H films show that the photoconductivity of high-temperature samples is large; the light-darkness of low-temperature samples is relatively large, the value of г is close to 1, and the transient response is faster. The difference in photoconductivity determines the difference in their application. High temperature samples are suitable for solar cell materials, and low temperature samples are suitable for photo detection device materials. Regardless of the application, one-sided emphasis on the importance of light to dark ratio is not appropriate. The quality of a-Si: H films is commented on in terms of light to dark ratio, which is well worth studying. We believe that for some important applications, the light to dark ratio is not even an important parameter; because of the existence of two different types of photoconductive films, they are suitable
