笔者近几年采用扦插法繁殖桂花,能够上年扦插下年出圃,生长周期短。具体方法如下: 1.扦插季节 5～6月、8～9月皆宜。7月扦插也行,但苗床气温要控制在30℃以下;如12月扦插,气温低,生根慢,要在翌年4月下旬才能出床分栽。总之扦插时间不能硬搬硬套,要结合当地气温灵活应用。夏季自然气温应在20℃以上,冬季自然气温应在10℃左右,以夏季为最好。
