The Scarlet Letter was written by Nathaniel Hawthorne and was published in 1850.Hawthorne describes the heroine Hester Prynne as an embodiment of high moral to reveal American social law’s cruelty,religion’s fraud and moral’s hypocrisy in the era of the development of capitalism in the nineteenth century.This paper is going to provide a detailed interpretation of Feminism in The Scarlet Letter,especially in the thoughts and behaviors of the heroine Hester.
The Scarlet Letter was written by Nathaniel Hawthorne and was published in 1850.
