信阳市是河南省首批学习实践科学发展观的试点市之一。在学习实践活动中,该市市委、市政府深刻认识市情,研究市情,把握市情,创造性地把学习实践活动与魅力信阳建设相结合,提出了以“实力信阳、活力信阳、人文信阳、和谐信阳、生态信阳”为主要内容的魅力信阳建设的战略目标,走出了一条具有信阳特色的学习实践科学发展观之路,取得了较为突出的成就。2008年,全市国内生产总值突破800亿元,达到866.8亿元,增长12.2%;城镇居民人均可支配收入突破10000元,达到11024元,增长16.3%;
Xinyang City is one of the first pilot cities to study and practice the scientific outlook on development in Henan Province. In the study and practice activities, the municipal party committee and the municipal government have a profound understanding of the market conditions, researching the market conditions, grasping the market conditions and creatively integrating the study and practice activities with the charming Xinyang construction.
