目前,在我国的炼钢生产中,模铸钢锭仍占钢产量的80%以上。钢锭模是炼钢生产中消耗量较大的备件。根据1986年的统计资料,全国年平均消耗钢锭模为100万吨,各重点企业和地方骨干企业的吨钢钢锭模消耗情况,见表1、2。由于钢锭模的消耗高,而它的制造能力又有限,所以,已经给炼铁、炼钢、铸造生产带来了许多不利因素。因此,随着我国钢产量的不断增长,十分关注钢锭模使用寿命的提高,已刻不容缓,势在必行。
