造型、色彩、材料、图形纹样是传达设计内容和信息的基本视觉符号因素。在现代设计中,符号元素的运用要注意适度性,不能教条地传承已有符号形式,也不能脱离时代背景去盲目地创造新的符号形式,更不能滥用或乱用传统文化中的符号元素,这样才能使得现代设计被大众正确地理解、接受和引起情感共鸣,实现现代设计融合理性和功能性、美感和情感为一体。
Styles, colors, materials, and graphics are basic visual notations that convey design content and information. In modern design, the use of symbolic elements should pay attention to the appropriateness, can not be dogma to inherit the existing symbolic form, and can not blindly create new symbolic forms apart from the background of the times, not to abuse or indiscriminate use of the symbolic elements in traditional culture. Can modern design be correctly understood by the public, to accept and arouse the resonance of emotions, to achieve the integration of modern design rationality and functionality, beauty and emotion as a whole.
