藏书是图书馆活动的重要物质基础。进入数字时代,图书馆藏书建设工作非但没有被削弱,反而因藏书概念的不断扩大、图书文献出版和发行渠道的多元化,以及信息技术的日新月异等原因,变得更为复杂。要搞好藏书建设,不能仅靠图书馆一家,高质量的藏书建设要求图书馆、出版社和图书文献供应机构密切配合、共同合作。其中,供应机构起着沟通上下的作用,其地位十分重要。成立于1992年6月的上海翔华图书有限责任公司,是以复旦大学、同济大学、华东师大、原铁道大学、东华大学、华东理工大学、上海大学和上海师大等高校图书馆为主体的采编一体化联合机构。十年来,公司坚持服务至上的指导思想,以质量求生存,靠“知本”促发展,视用户利益为自己的生命线,艰苦创业,锐意创新,为图书馆开辟了方便快捷、优质高效的文献信息采集渠道,成为沪上众多图书文献供应机构中的佼佼者,其经济效益和社会效益十分显著。值此翔华公司成立十周年之际,编辑部特邀请公司领导、董事及部分专家,以“数字时代藏书建设的理论与实践”为题,撰写这组文章,以志庆贺。祝翔华公司蒸蒸日上,与更多的图书馆结成战略伙伴,并以更优质的服务回馈用户。
